Newborn

I wasn't up for more than ten minutes when I heard my Dad come inside calling to my Mama "We have kittens!"

We leave boxes and food outside for the local cats - and by boxes we mean thick plastic boxes made to withstand the wind. Our neighbors let their cats roam free, and they have a hard time catching their cats to get them spayed and neutered. One of our regulars, Claws, apparently gave birth overnight in our big main box. She had atlest three kittens, two of which were killed by the local tom Kami-sama. This little fella was the only survivor of his litter, and if Dad hadn't noticed the kittens, Kami probably would've gotten him too. Our neighbors took him inside so he'd be safe until he was old enough to protect himself.

Zac, my neighbor, allowed me to name this lil kitten "Naruto"
